Graphic design and printing are at the heart of LBD, and where it all began in 1997.
Lyn's background prior to starting LBD was the glossy magazine industry in a boutique publishing house in Balmain, Sydney. Needless to say, with the now additional 14 years experience Lyn has added to her already substantial design and printing experience LBD is very good at design and printing!

Our huge portfolio and our print buying power is a testament to this.
Having worked with some of the most well known companies and brands in Australia, as well as many more that are smaller and lesser known, Lyn brings such a wealth of experience to any project you can imagine.

We still always look for the least costly and most creative way to approach everything we do, and we still also love being able to surprise our clients with projects brought in on time and on or below budget.

Very large print runs are one of our specialties and make no mistake, the stakes are way higher when the print run is large (meaning over say 10,000). Lyn attends at press for all print runs of 5,000 and over, ensuring clients that quality control and colour management are personally taken care of.

LARGE FORMAT

This is a field of expertise we have been very involved in due to LBD's exhibition services, AGM design, and office graphics simply because all require large graphics and usually many different kinds are all required to be delivered at the same time.

Designing for large format printing (meaning life size imagery and larger)...
Requires a different skill set to "normal" graphic design and a different approach altogether. It helps enormously to have pre-press skills and a good understanding of the whole issue around "life size" and how the human eye takes in such things. LBD is highly skilled and experienced in both areas.

On the printing side also many factors can affect the outcome.
Understanding the pre-press issues, image manipulation at large sizes, and even just the scale issue are skills that take time to develop, and we only use designers who have this level of understanding and skill for our larger work as it's just too time consuming otherwise and of course time = money!
